Loser Alert

Banditing a race is one thing, partaking of aid station food, asking people to serve you, crossing the finish line, and wearing a non-race bib number is another level of a-hole. This guy did it all at PCTR's Pacifica race this past weekend. And he wasn't the only one apparently, but the only one who went that extra mile and brought his own number. Come on children, you're adults, don't be stupid.

This guy's photo is posted on various forums already, but if you recognize him, tell him he sucks.

That guy definitely sunk to a new level. It's a good thing he didn't get hurt(although I'm sure a lot of us runner would like to) out there because it would have taken a long time for the race officials to notify his family since he wasn't registered.

I would never mess with such a short angry person such as yourself...

he should be thankful that he finished early. otherwise, i would've swept his ass all the way down the north peak trail. :) how are you, chicka? i am back running again. doing some base building these next two months. i started to incorporate a lot more core training and stretching into my training to stay injury free. i know things will work out better this year. i am learning to train better. :)

ps, i just signed up for cascade crest 100 in august. i didn't want to make the same mistake like last year, wait till the last minute to make the decision. this way, i can be more focused in my training. :)

I am totally with the comments regarding being lucky not being injured. I think that this guy would have expected someone to pick him up and, not signing a waiver, could have tried to make things really ugly for the race organizers. Now, that would really be unfortunate. I trust that W&S and all of the volunteers will be alert for this person. The thing is, what can you really do if you spot him on a public trail during the race? I guess the only thing you can do is not serve him. I'm just glad you all did the embarassment factor. That's got to be worth something. Good for you.
